In 1934, at the height of the Great Depression, my grandfather Samuel A. Green founded First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Philadelphia in South Philadelphia. It became Firstrust Bank in 1987. His cornerstone was a commitment to community and the foundation was family values. Green became president and CEO of the bank and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors. I proudly became president and CEO in 1995, and today serve as vice chairman and CEO.
