On July 1, 1907, 26 citizens, with a combined investment of $10, 000 in Capital Stock, organized Carmine State Bank. On September 3, 1907 the bank opened for business. The same day, a horseshoe was found at the front of the bank door, which later became the official bank logo.On July 7, 1927, the independently owned Carmine State Bank received a charter from the State Banking Department, making the bank the 269th State Member Bank. Of these banks, only 20 remain in operation today. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ( FDIC ) granted membership to Carmine State Bank on November 4, 1964.Due to the increased growth during the past years, Carmine State Bank constructed a new 9, 000 square foot, two-story banking facility in 1987. In 1996, operations were expanded to the second floor. The bank offers customers drive-thru banking, safe deposit boxes, Automated Teller Machine ( ATM ), and night depository.
