Timberland Bank was founded in Hoquiam, Wash., in 1915. It has since grown to a 20-branch network of full-service community banking locations in five counties. As of 2004, Timberland had approximately $436 million in assets. Its products and services include traditional banking products, such as checking and savings accounts, CDs, IRAs and home and consumer loans. In addition, the bank has capitalized on niche lending products, such as land, construction and business loans. The bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Timberland Bancorp, which also offers financial planning services through another subsidiary, Timberland Financial Services Center.
