The original business was established as Bollinger County Abstract Company on February 17, 1909. Shareholders were W.K. Chandler, J.B. Miller, A.D. Hubbard, C.G. Miller and G.C. Allen. Donnia M. Besher began working for the company part-time in January, 1996 as the real estate closer. The business is now owned and operated by Donnia Besher who also conducts all closings and she currently has the following employees: Carole Abernathy, Chief Examiner; and Charity Collier Administrative Assistant. Bollinger County Abstract & Title Co. Inc. is a member of the Missouri Land Title Association, The Missouri Association of Professional Title Agents, and American Land Title Association. With our office growing, we have the contacts and capabilities to reach out and travel to adjoining counties to provide complete closing services and title insurance for our customers including those in Cape Girardeau, Madison, Wayne, Stoddard, Perry.
